What do Canadian businesses get?

A fax number you pick yourself, an online inbox, and sending across Canada and the US. No fax machine, no dedicated phone line, no hardware.

• Your own number, chosen by you. Numbers are not auto-assigned. Sign up, activate the beta, pick your number, send.
• Send and receive. Incoming faxes arrive in an online inbox and trigger an email notification.
• Canada and the United States. Sending is limited to an operator-managed country list, and those two are the beta market. Cross-border in both directions works.
• Up to 10 users on one company account, with roles and per-user send permissions. The planned model adds users at $2.79 per user per month.
• One shared page pool covering inbound and outbound, with rollover — unused pages up to 50 carry over each monthly anniversary, capped at 60 accumulated.
• Shared company contacts, delivery tracking, and Email-to-Fax.

Sending is PDF only. There are no mobile apps — Me Fax Too runs in a browser.

What about PIPEDA?

We do not claim PIPEDA compliance and we hold no certification. PIPEDA is Canada’s federal private-sector privacy law. It governs how your business collects, uses, and discloses personal information — and the obligation sits with you, not with your fax vendor.

A vendor cannot make you compliant. What a vendor can do is tell you the truth about where your documents go and who can read them, so you can answer for it. Most fax marketing pages will not do that. Here is ours.

Our actual practices

• Encrypted transmission. Documents are encrypted in transit.
• Encrypted document storage. Sent and received faxes are stored encrypted at rest.
• Role-based access. Each user sees what their role permits.
• Admin visibility. An account admin can see every fax sent and received on the company account. This is by design and we would rather state it than bury it.

What should you ask any fax vendor?

• Where are my documents stored, in which country and region?
• Are documents encrypted in transit and at rest?
• Who inside my own company can see faxes they did not send?
• Who inside the vendor can access my documents, and under what conditions?
• How long are faxes retained, and can I delete them?
• Can I export everything and leave?
• Will you put those answers in writing?

If a vendor answers the residency question with a marketing word instead of a country, that is your answer.

Can I use Me Fax Too for healthcare faxing?

No. Me Fax Too is not HIPAA compliant, we do not sign business associate agreements, and we are not a healthcare product. If you handle patient information, use a vendor built for it.

Two that offer a BAA: SRFax and Fax.Plus Enterprise ($79.99/mo, verified July 2026). Clinics, labs, pharmacies, and medical offices should start there rather than with us.

Me Fax Too is for ordinary small-business paperwork — signed contracts, purchase orders, forms that a bank or a government office still insists on receiving by fax.

What about SRFax, the Canadian option?

SRFax is the established Canadian online fax company, with support based in British Columbia. It claims HIPAA compliance for US customers and PHIPA for Canada, and healthcare is a primary part of its business.

If you are a Canadian clinic or any organisation handling health information, SRFax is a more appropriate starting point than we are. We are not going to pretend otherwise to win a signup.

SRFax does not publish its prices publicly. Checked July 2026: the plan pages do not show rates, and figures sit behind the signup flow. Third-party sources we found conflict with each other, so we are not going to print a number for them. Ask SRFax directly.

Where we differ: SRFax is built around compliance and healthcare. Me Fax Too is built for a 2–20 person office that wants one shared account, 10 users included, and a number the whole team can use. Different jobs.

Can I bring my existing Canadian fax number?

No. Me Fax Too does not offer number porting. You choose a new number from our available list when you activate.

If keeping your existing number is non-negotiable, Telnyx handles porting and is a reasonable place to take that requirement.

How much does it cost in Canada?

Nothing for three months. No credit card is requested at signup, so nothing can charge you automatically when the beta period ends.

Final pricing has not been decided, which is why no dollar figure for Me Fax Too appears anywhere on this site. We will announce it before your three months are up. The intended shape is 10 users included, additional users at $2.79 per user per month, and one shared company page pool rather than per-seat page counts.
