What Documo does well

They publish their prices, and they are genuinely strong for developers

Start with the thing most of this category refuses to do: Documo puts its whole price list on a public page. Four tiers, pages, users, add-on rates, trial length, annual discount. You can budget without booking a call. In a market where several vendors hide the number behind a slider or a lead form, that alone earns respect.

Their real strength is developer and API work. Documo is built for teams that want to send faxes from their own software — an application that fires off a fax when a form is submitted, a back office that fans out hundreds of documents on a schedule. If you have engineers and a fax step inside a product, Documo is a serious tool, and we are not competing for that job.

The Business tier at $150 a month also includes 10 users and 2,500 pages, which is a substantial allowance for an office that faxes heavily.

When you should choose Documo instead

Choose Documo, not us, if any of these is true:

You want to send faxes from your own application via an API. That is their core strength and not our focus.
You send high volume — 2,500 or 6,000 pages a month is a different scale from a small office.
You need several fax numbers. They sell extra numbers at $3 a month each; we do not sell extra numbers today.
You must keep your existing fax number. We do not port numbers.
You handle protected health information and need a signed BAA. Me Fax Too is not HIPAA compliant.
You need to send non-PDF files, or you need a mobile app. We are PDF-only and web-only.
You fax outside the United States and Canada. Our beta sending list covers those two countries.

Seat math for an 8-person office

Using Documo's published July 2026 rates, eight people cost $46 a month on Solo, $90 on Professional, or $150 on Business. Me Fax Too includes 10 users, so eight people cost nothing extra.

The cheapest route to eight seats is Solo plus seven add-on users: $46 a month, or $552 a year at the monthly rate. Documo advertises 20% off for annual billing; we did not verify whether that discount applies to add-on seats as well as the base plan, so treat $46 as the monthly figure to plan against.

That $46 buys 300 pages a month shared across eight people — a little under 38 pages each. If the office sends more than that, you move up to Professional at $90 for 800 pages, or Business at $150 for 2,500.

Me Fax Too includes 10 users in the company account, so an 8-person office fits with two seats spare and no per-user line item at all. The planned rate past 10 users is $2.79 each per month. During the three-month beta, none of it is billed and no credit card is required. Everyone shares one page pool covering inbound and outbound, with up to 50 unused pages rolling over each month against a 60-page accumulation cap.

One trade-off to state plainly: admins can see every fax the company sends and receives, including faxes sent by other users. That is how the audit trail works, and your team should know it before they start.

Switching from Documo

We do not offer number porting. A Documo number cannot be moved to Me Fax Too, and a Me Fax Too number cannot be taken elsewhere. If your fax number must stay the same, stop here.

If a new number works for you: sign up, activate the free beta, choose your own fax number from the available list — nothing is auto-assigned — and send. Then update the number wherever it is printed and tell the organisations that fax you. Export anything you need from Documo before you cancel; we do not import fax history.

If you are switching away from an API integration, check what your code depends on first. We are an application for people to use, not a fax API for your software to call. That is a real difference and it will decide the question for some readers.
